Shawn MacDonald

Coming from a 10-year career in the financial services sector, Shawn Macdonald brings his unique talents from the commodities business to the mortgage industry. Shawn routinely negotiated multi-million dollar contracts, closely watched market shifts and nurtured high level customer relationships as a commodities trader, importing and selling huge volumes to stores such as Costco, Albertson’s and Sysco.

He credits his success in that industry directly to his customer care approach. He applies that same approach to his mortgage business. Shawn spent eight months training at the corporate office of Mason-McDuffie Mortgage prior to opening the new Missoula branch. He believes his unique training plus his former career in the commodities industry allows him to serve clients in a way best suited to the current lending landscape.

Shawn is a 5th generation Montanan, born and raised in Missoula. He is proud to be serving the community he grew up in by providing high quality mortgage services for local home buyers and owners. When not hard at work, you are likely to find Shawn fly fishing on his favorite local rivers.
