Chick Donaldson and his team here have joined Mason-McDuffie Mortgage Corp

CAPITOLA—Long-time Santa Cruz area mortgage professional Chick Donaldson and his team here have joined Mason-McDuffie Mortgage Corp.

            Donaldson has offered mortgage services in the Santa Cruz-Capitola area since 1986 with a variety of firms. He’s been affiliated with large national firms as well as operating independent brokerage companies.

            Initially, he will have a five-member team working with him and will be looking to expand with additional loan officers. Among the team members are his son, Bobby Donaldson, a loan officer and his daughter, Jennifer Farley, who is a loan processor. Both graduated from local high schools.

            Explaining why he joined Mason-McDuffie when a number of other firms were actively recruiting him, Donaldson said, “I like the way they’ve set up their operation and they allowed me to keep my processor here.”

            Mason-McDuffie processes all of its loans in-house and prides itself on a 21-day closing.

            The Capitola office, located at 417y0 Gross Road Extension, is the latest new market opened by the San Ramon-based mortgage bank, which has embarked on an aggressive national expansion plan. Mason-McDuffie provides a full range of loan products. The Mason-McDuffie name dates to 1887 in the real estate business.
